The walls are lined with books - thick, dusty tomes and thin, staple-together rough drafts. Every word ever written, even random assortments of letters thrown together, every alphabet ever made, fictional or not - it all finds a home in the shelves of the Archive. Many of these tomes are blank, not yet filled out. Words and phrases to be written soon. Or maybe far, far off. Or maybe a long time ago. Time is funny like that.

Pandora's Box is named so because it contains things that should never, ever have been. But here it is and here they are. Some say it's quite pleasant inside. Most prefer the rush of fresh air and moonlight that greets them when the find their door into Betwixt.

The corpse of a Colossus kneels in the center of the wreckage, frozen as if it had been turned to stone, face looking skyward with an expression of pure terror. Nobody can quite remember what it was supposed to be, but the rotting corpses of Knights and Guardsmen suggest something.
