Personality: Very early on in life, Cameron learned to be his own boss. He wasn't really raised...He raised himself and, wherever he went, he raised some hell. Naturally rebellious, naturally reckless. And absolutely awful at defense. His approach to life is generally to damage everything else before it has the chance to damage you, which is exactly why he got bitten. Cameron has always shut out his emotions. He is, at heart, very much human...But he considers that an obstacle that has plagued him since birth. He puts on a mask of sorts, covering up sorrow or pity with anger and banter. At times this facade crumbles, of course...But that generally makes him angry too. Weakness is not an option, just as failure and death are so incredibly out of the question. Whether or not he's willing to admit it, Cameron holds the belief that he is untouchable. You could call it a God Complex, but it's more of an immortality delusion than an "I can control everything because fuck you that's why" complex. Anger is a panic response, because it generally comes when he's losing control. All his life he's had no control over anything and now...Now he's a damned zombie. Now his family is dead, his friends are Type D's, he survived what they did not and Cameron DeCarlo will not lose control again.

The story of the shocking sickness, watch it blow

History: Cameron never knew his mother. He grew up in an abusive household with an alcoholic father who was not shy about throwing punches. For a long time Cameron was simply afraid of living, until he was about 13 years old. Having been robbed of a childhood altogether, he saw no harm in striking back. With a pistol. To his father's head. After that point, Cameron took to the streets. He lived under the wings of several local loners (others who roamed the streets in his less than pure neighborhood), and then infections happened. Cameron was living with a man named Ryan Keklar who took to camp Alpha right away. Due to cocky shenanigans however, Cameron was bitten while travelling a little farther away from camp than was necessary. Having survived the attack, he has lingered around the same area for quite some time, feeling as if he dug himself this hole and shouldn't be allowed to crawl out. Granted he still feels invincible and suddenly predatory, but he feels intense guilt for having run out here in the first place.
